The Grays
Ideation
This passion project was something I wanted to create for a while. Being African American and from Maryland, I grew to appreciate black history and the contribution of the Homestead grays. After feeling inspired after watching a Negro baseball league documentary, I wanted to create graphics that captured the essence of the NBL but apply a modern twist—reminiscent of ESPN and other sports networks.

I wanted to create style frames that are active and invigorating. I used heavy textures, vivid colors and a collage design approach. This passion project is
ongoing, it is still in its iterative phase. I’m excited to share more style frames and motion graphics for this once they are completed, stay tuned!
