Ideation
I wanted to create a digital art project using a fine art style I enjoy away from the computer, collage. I deeply appreciate the art of collage. Traditionally, I use cutouts of random books, magazines and other collected print materials. I wanted to bring that same element of random but with the refinement digital art brings.

This client was a music streaming company. They were open in terms of concept and design approach. After learning more about the brand, I wanted to approach the graphics in a structured but organic way. I wanted it to be inspired by the chaos of Jazz, style of hip-hop and smoothness of
R&B. With that in mind, what better way to display organized chaos than in a collage style? From an animation perspective, I knew I wanted the style frames to transition seamlessly and the graphical elements to represent the creation of music.
